Honey Garlic Chicken - Slow Cooker Method

Honey Garlic Chicken - Just 1.5 Syns Per Serving!

Ingredients:

1/2 a pepper chopped (any colour)
400g diced chicken
1 onion diced
2 carrots sliced
150g button mushrooms
2 crushed garlic cloves
4 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp bramble jelly or blackberry jam
1 tsp chinese five spice
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/4 tsp chilli flakes
1 star anise

Directions:


  • Put everything in slow cooker and cook for approx 2-3 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low.
  • If necessary remove the lid for about 10 minutes at the end to thicken the sauce.
  • Remove star anise and serve with noodles.

You can also add other vegetables to increase the super-free food, or serve with a selection of stir fried vegetables that you can buy from somewhere like Asda for around a £1 or so!

Ideal for bulk cooking and taking to work in your lunch box
